The powerful and evil magician of Mauritania is madly in love with the sultan's daughter. But only he, the demon tells him, is allowed to have the beautiful daughter with his wife who comes into possession of the magic lamp. And only one person has the power to bring this lamp out of its safe haven - Aladin. The magician therefore searches for Aladdin, wins his trust and leads him to the underground palace. But Aladin, seduced by the demons, claims the magic lamp for himself and refuses to bring it to the magician, whereupon the magician locks him up forever in the palace and leaves! Aladin, however, discovers the secret of the lamp, is freed, made a rich man by the spirit of the lamp and can now win the heart of the sultan's daughter!
